Conscience and Dealing With Sin
When we were children we had little awareness of sin. Our parents got on to us when we did things that were wrong, and we changed what we were doing to avoid being punished. But it wasn't a matter of conscience.
When we got older things changed. We acquired a conscience and that conscience bothered us when we did things that we knew were wrong. For a long time we tried to ignore what our consciences were telling us but . . . . (you finish the story).
Only in Christ Jesus did we find the way to get over those feelings of conscience. Only in Him did we find forgiveness, which is the real way to relieve a sore conscience . . . (tell it like you would tell it.)
