Main idea: Second battle of Ai.

After removing the sin from the camp, God told Joshua to do as he did with Jericho. Joshua sent all of his men to Ai, 5,000 to draw the Ai men out of the city and 30,000 to ambush. The 30,000 burned the city and then turned on the Ai men and killed them all. They took the king of Ai and hung him on a tree until the evening. Then the Israelites took him down and buried him under a pile of stones in the gateway of Ai. They then went to Mt. Ebal and built an altar and made burnt sacrifies to God. There the law of Moses was read by Joshua to the Israelites.
