Main idea: The twelve stones of memorial.
1. Twelve men total--1 man from each tribe
of Israel.
2. Take 12 stones from the Jordan Riverr,
from the site of the priests' feet on dry land--Proof of God's work
in halting the flow of the river.
3. The stones were set up and remained
permanently in Gilgal as a perpetual reminder to all generations of
Israel of God's power.
