Wednesday Night Study Sheet--Joshua 21
Main idea: The Levites (priestly tribe) had cities but did not have states or regions. This chapter shows the fulfillment of God's promises about land as well as other matters.
Summary: The Levites went to Joshua telling him that they needed cities for their people and livestock. So then the Israelites gave the Levites 48 cities out of their inheritance.
We have decided to skip Verses 11-40 due to the fact that these are the names that receive land. (You might want to read these sometime by yourself.)
God gave the Levites the land that he had promised to them, and then delivered all of their enemies into their hands and all of God's promises came true.
