Main idea: Joshua brings war to the makers of war in the Negev (desert) and forces a final peace.
Summary: The king named Hazor gathered many nations to
go out and fight the Israelites, but God told Joshua not to worry because
he would deliver them unto his hands. Joshua gathered all of his men
and attacked the enemy on the banks of the Merom, the enemy ran and
Joshua killed them all. The only city he didn't burn of the enemy was
Hazor, which he burned to the ground. Then God told Joshua to go to
the mountain countries to the South, and then Joshua captured all their
kings and killed all their men, Joshua fought these people for a long
time. Joshua made war on every city and killed everyone there.
