Main idea: Joshua asks God to make the sun stand still during a battle with Israel's enemies.

Adoni-Zedek, King of Jerusalem, hears of how Joshua and the Israelites conquered Ai with the help of God. Sees how great Gibeon is and convinces the surrounding kings to join forces with him to conquer Gibeon, who asks for Joshua's aid. During the Battle of Gibeon, Joshua needs more daylight and asks for it Verse 13. Joshua afterwards conquers all the land God gave them and returns to the camp at Gilgal.
